This wrought iron workshop founded in 1947, is located in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, a wonderful setting nestled between Nice and Monaco. In May 2012, at the age of 30, Jean-Charles Rodriguez from Chambery in Savoy, took over the business with his colleague and companion Melanie Boulay. They have preserved a timeless Ironworks, adding a unique artistic dimension while maintaining the expertise and experience of the existing accomplished team.
Jean-Charles Rodriguez, a passionate artist, developed his talent near Geneva, where he came into contact with skilled craftsmen who had learnt from members of the prestigious, ‘Entreprise du Patrimone Vivant’, and ‘Compagnons du Devoir’.
Today he uses his own unique style to create classic works.
The Ironworks has already achieved the distinction, ‘Artisan en metiers d’art’, awarded by the Alpes-Maritimes Chamber of Trades and Craftsmanship to encourage excellence in the French craft industry. In addition, it is listed in the ‘Artisans of France’ directory, available online at http://ferronneriedartjcr.france-artisanat.fr . As this art is as precious as it is rare, the Ironworks specialises in making individual pieces with a quality finish. It produces Handrails, Awnings, Gazebos, Pergolas, Stairs, Railings, Gates, Doors, Light fittings... and exclusive Furniture. Each piece is constructed with the care that is demanded by custom-made work.
